Al Kiswah Tower

For pilgrims traveling from the USA, Al Kiswah Towers places you just 900 meters from Masjid Al Haram, making the walk to and from prayers short and manageable, even during the warmer August months. The hotel is also close to Abraj Al Bait (1 km), with Umm Al-Qura University and the historic Hira Cave each about 9 km away for those interested in exploring the area’s surroundings. Mina and Makkah Mall sit roughly 12 km out, useful if you’re planning a shopping trip or visiting nearby sites.

Rooms come with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom, and free WiFi is available throughout the property, so keeping in touch with family back home is never a hassle. The reception team is on hand to help with directions, transport questions, or anything else you need to navigate Makkah comfortably during your stay.

Meraj AL Salam

In Madinah, Meraj Al Salam puts you only 150 meters from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, close enough to make multiple daily visits to the Prophet’s Mosque simple and convenient. Each air-conditioned room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an electric kettle, and a private bathroom stocked with complimentary slippers and toiletries — small touches that make a longer stay more comfortable.

A 24-hour front desk means assistance is always available, whatever time your flight from the US lands. The Old Bazaar is just 800 meters away if you’d like to browse local shops, and Prince Mohammed Airport is about 14 km from the hotel, keeping airport transfers straightforward for international travelers.

Your 7-Night August Umrah Itinerary

Day 1 — Departure from the USA
Depart from your chosen US city. Most routes to Saudi Arabia run 14–18 hours including a layover, so plan for a long travel day — August flights tend to book up early due to summer vacation demand, so confirming your seat ahead of time is worth it. Your travel coordinator will share your full flight and transfer schedule before you leave.

Day 2 — Arrival in Makkah
Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, then transfer directly to AlKiswah Makkah Hotel. After check-in, take time to rest and acclimate — August temperatures in Makkah often climb past 105°F, so it’s worth easing into the heat before beginning your rituals.

Day 3 — Perform Umrah
Enter ihram and complete Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq/Taqsir to finish your Umrah. Many pilgrims prefer performing Tawaf during early morning or late evening hours in August, when the temperature is more manageable and the Haram is comparatively less crowded.

Days 4–5 — Worship & Makkah Ziyarah
Free days for additional prayer and Tawaf at Masjid Al Haram, with one day set aside for a guided Ziyarah to Jabal Al Nour, Jabal Thawr, Mina, and Muzdalifah. Stay hydrated throughout — carrying water and resting in shaded or air-conditioned areas between site visits is recommended during peak summer heat.

Days 6–7 — Madinah: The City of the Prophet ﷺ
Transfer to Madinah and check in at Meraj Al Salam Hotel, just 150 meters from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. Madinah’s August climate is slightly milder than Makkah’s but still warm, so mornings and evenings are ideal for visiting the mosque. A guided Ziyarah covers Masjid Quba, Masjid Al Qiblatayn, and the Uhud battlefield.

Day 8 — Return to the USA
Transfer to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport for your flight home. Your travel coordinator remains reachable until you’ve landed safely back in the US.

Which Umrah Package Suits You Best?

If you’d like more comfort than this 3-star, 7-night package offers, the same August dates and duration are available in two upgraded tiers. The 4-Star August Umrah Package – 7 Nights offers larger rooms, upgraded amenities, and hotels closer to Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, a meaningful step up in comfort for a modest increase over the $452 starting price.

For those seeking the highest level of comfort, the 5-Star Premium August Umrah Package – 7 Nights offers spacious rooms, premium services, fine dining, and top-tier hotel facilities, making it well suited to families, seniors, or anyone who prefers a fully relaxed, seamless week of worship.

Whichever tier you choose, Ziyarat tours and ground transport to the holy sites are included as standard, so upgrading means better hotel comfort and closer proximity to the mosques, not a different Umrah experience.

MAKKAH ZIYARAT

A guided Ziyarat around Makkah gives you the chance to visit some of the city’s most significant historical sites beyond the Haram. Stops typically include Jabal Al Nour, where the Cave of Hira sits near the summit and is linked to the first revelation; Jabal Thawr, known for the cave where the Prophet ï·º and Abu Bakr (RA) took refuge during the migration to Madinah; and the plains of Mina and Muzdalifah, both central to the rites of Hajj.

Private transportation is arranged for the full route, so you’re not relying on public transport or negotiating fares in the August heat a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle takes you between each site with enough time to pause, take photos, and reflect.

MADINAH ZIYARAT

Once you’ve settled into Meraj Al Salam Hotel, a guided Ziyarat through Madinah covers several sites tied to the early history of Islam. This typically includes Masjid Quba, the first mosque built in Islam, where offering two rak’ahs carries the reward of an Umrah; Masjid Al Qiblatayn, known for the change in Qibla direction during prayer; and the Uhud battlefield, the site of the well-known battle and the resting place of several companions, including Hamzah (RA).

As with the Makkah leg, transportation for the Madinah Ziyarat is included in your package, with a driver and vehicle provided for the day so you can focus on the visit itself rather than logistics.

Why Choose August for Umrah?

August is one of the more practical times of year for American Muslims to perform Umrah, even with the heat factored in. Saudi hotels, mosques, and major sites are fully air-conditioned, so once you’re indoors or inside Masjid Al Haram and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the outdoor temperatures matter far less than you’d expect. What August does offer is timing it falls during summer break for most US schools, making it one of the few windows when families can travel together without pulling kids out of class or juggling conflicting school calendars.

It also tends to work better for working professionals, since summer is when many US employers are more open to extended time off. With fewer scheduling conflicts and a stretch of weeks to plan around, August has become a practical choice for families and groups looking to perform Umrah together rather than splitting up trips around the school year.

Best Value and Affordability

Our 3-star August package is built to make the most of your budget a well-located hotel close to the Haram, reliable transfers, and complete visa support, all at a price that keeps Umrah accessible during one of the busiest travel months of the year.

Families

August lines up with summer break across nearly every US school district, giving families a full 4–6 week window to travel without missing class time. While Makkah summers run hot, hotel rooms, transport, and the Haram itself are all air-conditioned, so the heat is manageable once you're off the street. Connecting or adjoining family rooms can be arranged on request for both the Makkah and Madinah stays.

Working Professionals

Summer is typically when US employers are more flexible with extended leave requests, making August a realistic time to take 7–10 days off without the scheduling conflicts that come with year-end deadlines.

First-Time Pilgrims

With visa processing, transfers, and hotel logistics already arranged, first-time pilgrims can focus on learning the rituals and adjusting to the experience rather than managing travel details on their own.
