Al Kiswah Tower – Makkah Hotel

Distance: In the Al Taysir district, roughly 900 meters from Masjid Al Haram, with a free shuttle running to the Haram around the clock

Al Kiswah Tower is a large property — one of five interconnected towers holding thousands of rooms — built specifically around pilgrim volume, which keeps rates low even across a long 8-night stay. The walk to the Haram takes about 15 to 20 minutes, longer than the closest hotels, so most guests rely on the free shuttle for at least a portion of their daily trips, particularly during peak prayer times when the walk gets crowded.

Rooms are air-conditioned with a flat-screen TV, private bathroom with bidet, and a refrigerator, and the hotel runs an on-site minimarket for quick essentials without leaving the building. King Abdulaziz International Airport is roughly 90 km away.

Meraj Al Salam – Madinah Hotel

Distance: On Al Salam Road near King Saud Gate, about 150–300 meters from Masjid an-Nabawi — a 3-to-5-minute walk

After more than a week in Makkah, Meraj Al Salam puts you right back within steps of the mosque for the second half of the trip. It’s a modest, budget-tier property, but the location does the heavy lifting: guests can walk to all five daily prayers without factoring in transport time at all. Rooms include air conditioning, a kettle, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom, and the hotel runs an on-site restaurant along with a 24-hour front desk.

One thing to note — there’s no airport shuttle here, so plan on a taxi or ride-share to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, about 14 km away.

Your 14-Night October Umrah Itinerary

Your Trip, Day by Day

Sixteen days total — 14 hotel nights bookended by travel on both ends, giving you two unhurried weeks between the Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque ï·º.

Day 1 — Depart the USA
Fly out from your selected city, connecting through a major hub toward Jeddah. Depending on your routing, expect somewhere between a long travel day and an overnight one.

Day 2 — Arrive in Makkah
Land in Jeddah, transfer to Al Kiswah Tower, and check in ahead of your first prayers at the Haram. Most pilgrims use this first evening to rest and adjust before beginning the rites.

Day 3 — Complete Umrah
Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq or Taqsir to finish the rites, with the rest of the day free to recover and settle into the hotel’s rhythm.

Days 4–9 — Six Days of Worship in Makkah
An extended stretch for repeated prayer at the Haram, with plenty of room to alternate walking and shuttle trips depending on the time of day. This is also the natural window to fit in the optional Ziyarah tour, without it crowding your regular prayer schedule.

Day 10 — Transfer to Madinah
Check out of Al Kiswah Tower, travel to Madinah, and settle into Meraj Al Salam before Maghrib — close enough to the mosque that you can walk over as soon as you’re checked in.

Days 11–15 — Five Days of Worship in Madinah
Daily prayer at Masjid an-Nabawi, unhurried time at Raudah, and a schedule loose enough to revisit favorite spots more than once. With the hotel just minutes from the mosque, there’s little reason to plan around transport at all during this stretch.

Day 16 — Return to the USA
Transfer to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport for your flight home.

Which Umrah Package Suits You Best?

While this package is designed for pilgrims seeking an economical and comfortable Umrah experience, we also provide 4-Star and 5-Star Umrah packages for those who prefer upgraded facilities and closer proximity to the Haram.

Our 4-Star Umrah packages offer enhanced comfort with well-appointed rooms, improved amenities, and hotels located within convenient walking distance of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi. This option is ideal for families and elderly pilgrims who want a smoother and more relaxed stay without moving to full luxury.

For pilgrims desiring the highest level of ease and elegance, our 5-Star Umrah packages include premium hotels, spacious accommodations, fine dining options, and exceptional services near the holy mosques. These packages are perfect for those who want a stress-free, spiritually focused journey with maximum comfort.

No matter which option you choose, all packages can include ziyarat tours and private transport to ensure a well-organized and memorable Umrah experience.

MAKKAH ZIYARAT

Add a guided history tour to your stay with private, door-to-door transport included:

Jabal Al Nour—home to the Cave of Hira, where the Prophet ï·º received his first revelation. Reaching the cave and returning takes roughly an hour and a half, with a steep, uneven approach near the top—going early avoids both the crowds and the sun. Jabal Thawr—the mountain where the Prophet ï·º and Abu Bakr (RA) hid from their pursuers during the Hijrah. The path up is steep enough that most visitors stop at the base for photos and reflection rather than climb it. Mina, known as the “Tent City” for its role during Hajj, it’s quiet and open to explore the rest of the year. Muzdalifah—the stretch of open desert pilgrims pass through between Arafat and Mina during Hajj, worth a short stop for what it represents.

This tour is easy to schedule around your regular prayers at the Haram—most pilgrims set aside one morning mid-stay and are back well before Dhuhr.

Madinah Ziyarat

Private transport is included on this tour of three foundational sites from early Islamic history:

Masjid Quba — the very first mosque built in Islam. Praying two rak’ahs here is rewarded like performing a full Umrah. Masjid Al-Qiblatayn—the mosque where, mid-prayer, the qiblah changed direction from Jerusalem to Makkah. Uhud — the battlefield where Hamza (RA) and other companions were martyred, a solemn and reflective site compared to the mosque stops.

Booking this tour earlier in your stay works best, so your last day can stay free for extended time at Raudah and the Prophet’s Mosque ï·º, without needing to work around a tour schedule.

Why Choose October for Umrah?

A 14-night stay means more days exposed to the weather than a shorter package, and October is a forgiving month for it—daytime temperatures generally sit in the mid-80s to low 90s °F, well short of summer’s peak. Both cities also see calmer crowds than during Ramadan or Hajj, which matters more the longer you’re there, since less time gets lost to congestion at either mosque across two full weeks.

Best Value and Affordability

At $725 per person for 14 nights, the per-night cost comes in lower than shorter packages at the same hotel tier, since your visa and transport costs are spread across a longer stay. The trade-off is the same one you’ll find at any 3-star property: distance in Makkah, offset by a genuinely close hotel in Madinah. For pilgrims who want two full weeks without paying luxury pricing for the extra nights, this is where the value sits.

Families

Two weeks gives a family real breathing room no need to pack every prayer, meal, or rest break into a tight schedule. The shuttle at Al Kiswah Tower is worth using consistently if you're traveling with young children or elderly relatives, since the walk itself runs closer to 20 minutes each way. Madinah, by contrast, is close enough that even a slow walk with kids in tow is easy to manage.

Working Professionals

Sixteen days is a serious stretch of leave, but for professionals who've saved vacation time specifically for this trip, it delivers a genuinely unhurried Umrah, six full days in Makkah and five in Madinah, with enough slack in the schedule to rest, worship, and add Ziyarah without feeling rushed at any point.

First-Time Pilgrims

Fourteen nights is generous for a first Umrah, and that extra time works in your favor — eight nights in Makkah is enough to move through the rites, settle into the rhythm of the Haram, and not feel like you're racing the clock. Six nights in Madinah gives a first-timer real, repeated time at Raudah rather than a single rushed visit.
